COOKIE POLICY · UPDATED OCTOBER 10, 2026

Small files.
Clear choices.

Cookies are small values your browser stores for a website. baishiki.com uses cookies for sign-in and privacy choices, and offers Google reCAPTCHA to protect its contact form. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Cloudflare may provide cookieless website performance measurements; see the Privacy Policy for details.

First-party cookies

CookiePurposeMaximum lifetime
__Host-oauthEssential: binds your browser to a Google login request and helps prevent forged login callbacks.10 minutes; cleared after successful login.
__Host-sessionEssential: identifies your approved member session using an opaque token.8 hours; cleared when you sign out.
__Host-privacyEssential preference: remembers whether you allow the contact form’s Google reCAPTCHA.180 days, or until you clear it; renewed when you change your choice.

These cookies use Secure, SameSite=Lax, and a host-only scope. Login cookies are HttpOnly, so page scripts cannot read them. The privacy preference is readable by our page scripts to apply your choice and contains no account identifier. Authentication cookies are not set merely by browsing the public homepage.

Google reCAPTCHA

If you choose “Allow reCAPTCHA,” the contact form loads Google’s verification scripts when you submit. Google sets the _GRECAPTCHA cookie for risk analysis and may use other browser storage associated with its service. Google controls its cookie lifetimes and processing. We load reCAPTCHA through recaptcha.net to reduce exposure to other Google cookies. Its verification tokens expire within two minutes and are valid for a single verification.

The form is protected by reCAPTCHA and Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service apply. Google sign-in may separately use cookies on Google’s own pages when you choose to log in.

Managing your choice

Choose “Essential only” to avoid loading the contact form’s reCAPTCHA scripts. The protected form then cannot submit. You can still browse public pages and use Google sign-in. Allow reCAPTCHA in Cookie settings to use the contact form. Changing to essential only stops future loading and reloads the current page if the Google scripts were loaded. Previously created Google cookies must be managed through your browser or Google; we cannot remove cookies on another domain.

You can delete or block cookies in your browser. Blocking essential sign-in cookies prevents the member login flow from working. Clearing the preference cookie makes the site ask for your choice again. More detail about account data, security records, and contact messages appears in the Privacy Policy.
